In a post three days ago I suggested this as a possibility :- 30 July 1821 Liverpool St Peter William STEWART and Jane ROBERTS A very kind person on another list has looked up this marriage for me in the Liverpool St Peter PR's and tells me that that the entry actually reads :- 30th July 1821, William Stuart, stone mason & Jane Roberts, spinster, by Banns. Both of the parish of Liverpool. It's not proof-positive, of course, but as father's occupation is given as mason in the Neston St Mary/St Helen PR baptism entry for your William STEWART (11 February 1827) this is a good pointer to it being the right marriage?
