Would anyone be able to tell me the first name of the last miller at Bidston Mill? I believe he was a Mr. Youds, and I believe his daughter is my great great grandmother. From what we know so far, it looks like her name was Mary (b. 1829 approx), who married a Thomas Mutch (b. 1825 approx in Lower Meols/West Kirby area). They in turn had at least 7 children that I know of born in either Bidston or Oxton: John, Thomas, William, Mary, Joseph (my g grandfather), Elizabeth and Jane. Although I have not found a marriage certificate yet to confirm that Mary, the spouse of Thomas Mutch, is actually a YOUDS, anecdotal evidence from now deceased relatives has her as a YOUDS and the daughter of the miller at Bidston Mill, the last of which I've also confirmed to be a YOUDS - so it definitely appears that there's a connection somewhere down the line. As there are a couple of different YOUDS branches on the census, I'd be really grateful if anyone knew the millers first name so I could try and narrow my search down further.
