Dear List, I have done much research on the Cheshire, and Lancashire PRICE families.of Wervin, Stoak and Little Stanney, in Cheshire, being the areas where many of the PRICE, family members were born and lived, starting with Edward PRICE, born c1782. Until several of the family members moved to Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Middleton, in Manchester, Lancashire. Joseph H. PRICE, was born in Middleton, in 1860.at Beattie Farm. I have no date as to when he enlisted with the Coldstream Guards. The last information I have of him appears in the 1901 census which list him in a Lodging House, at 9, Front Mill Gate, Rawtenstall, Lancashire, Single and working as a Mason's labourer. I would be very grateful if someone could please, help me with any information as to Joseph's, whereabouts and occupation after 1901. I have purchased several possible Marriage and Death certificates but, draw blanks One of the last members of the family was Henry Joseph PRICE, who died in Birkenhead,1905. aged 76. of whom, the above Joseph, was a Nephew.
