Hello List, Could I have someone with a little more experience , then my six mounths help me work though this. After receiving my G Grandparents marriage cert. I found I had followed a line of Peter FULTON as being my Thomas's father. OK that I found was wrong. It says James FULTON is the father of my Thomas (married to Rebecca (nee FOGG) Going back though my notes I have from SKS (Marjorie MEALOR) the 1851 census. were I have a James FULTON at 32 yrs (1919)born Hoylake. wife to Margaret FULTON 30 yrs. (1821) Hoylake with a son Thomas FULTON 2 mos or 2 yrs born in Birkenhead. (And other children ) Now the Peter I had been following was from Hoose had a brother James FULTON born Hoylake 1919. I think this James in the 1851 census could well be Peters brother ? Now my question what are the chances of two Thomas FULTON being born in Birkenhead (I have 1852 on the 1881 census and 1851 (If 2 mos is right ) on the 1851 census. With the father's name of James. I don,t want to go down the wrong path again.(I think this could be my James ) I would like to send for a birth cert. But not having a Qt. for this birth or a Mothers name. How can I find out if this is indeed my Thomas FULTON. (If my James is Peters brothers I,m not too far off line ) with the searching that I have done.Your help would be very much appreciated.
