Has anybody heard of Rock Ferry Homes or Birkenhead Union round about the early 1900's. I believe they were childrens homes and would appreciate any info on them. Thanks Audrey
Audrey there is a pile of info about "the workhouse" at wirral archives town hall Birkenhead and plenty of other stuff from the past which does include the Birkenhead union. they are only open on a thursday,friday and saturday morning. but you will be well pleased with what you find. good luck Barbara.
