It must be very disheartening to our listowner Caryl, who went out of her way to create a Birkenhead Memories List, and when there were no takers, she changed the title to Wirral Memories, .... believing that this title would generate more interest, ... no such luck! :(( .... We are presently living in Oxton, but plan to move to Greasby, as and when we find a bungalow. (Added 1st November 2001: We have sold our house and bought a bungalow in Greasby. Hope to move before Christmas! ) We have two children: Julie (36) and Andrew (30). Julie is married to Michael Marland,(38) who is also a Birkonian! They have two children, Lauren (8) and Christopher (4) and they live in Greasby. Andrew is in a 'long-term relationship' with Kathryn Whitehead, who is also a Birkonian! I was born in Mallaby St., Near to Laird St. bus depot. I have fond memories of going to my friends house and eating raw rhubarb out of her garden which was on the same side of the street as the bus depot, there were huge tanks in her garden I don't know whether they were gas or water.I went to Laird st school in 1958 and my dad used to drink in the avenue pub. we spent a lot of time playing out in the park at the top of the road. we used to climb the nanny goat mountains, and walk the mobberley paths.we also used to go to biddy hill, and see the windmill.I have got two sisters and a brother .
