Hello to all Birkenhead and Wirral Listers, I am Wendy, I live here in Wallasey and I am lucky that for the most part both of my families.. in-laws included. ... have stayed in and around Birkenhead, Wallasey and Wirral branching back to Northwich and Harthill areas and Liverpool. These are my names I am researching. FOXLEY. All of them. I am building up a database from any source I can get of this name. All the 1881 Foxley's in Liverpool are related and some of them came over to Birkenhead and the Wirral. I would welcome anyone's family tree, preferably in GEDCOM format, to add to my ''unofficial'' one name study. One Foxley was a bookmaker in Birkenhead. My grandparents Samuel and Agnes Foxley lived in Moreton, originally coming from Toxteth Park in Liverpool. I work on this name all the time so any connections are welcome. Related families are HIDE. LEA.... my maiden name, came to Birkenhead with Thomas and Sarah LEA nee Rimmer of Weaver also John Thomas LEA and his wife Rose Bunting LEA nee KINCH, with other members of his family who originally came from the Harthill area of Cheshire. David Edward Griffith-Jones and his wife Mary Ann GRIFFITH-JONES, lived in some of the streets named above on the LEA paragraph. Their son David Griffith -Jones committed suicide in 1929, his siblings were Lydia, Elizabeth Ann ( my grandmother), Robert Francis David Edward Griffith-Jones, Sarah G-J, Margaret G_J, G? G-J, E. G-J. This family may be linked to WALKER, ELLERSHAW, PRYCE, TURNER, WHEADON ( but I only have surnames on them and no more) other siblings too. BENNETT.... from Wallasey, Moreton, Saughall Massey, Woodchurch, Bidston only other Bennett's from Woodchurch and Moreton moved to Birkenhead but I am not researching the Birkenhead ones as there are too many.
