I'm researching in Birkenhead: LEECH/LEACH Provisions dealer & Tobacco Manufacturer James LEECH b abt 1799 Newcastle Under Lyme Staffs, married Ann (?) lived in Higher Tranmere from abt 1830 until James died 1850 (admon 1851 CRO, Ann is still living) Their son John LEECH was born in 1821 Alford CHS, he married Ellen BALL (b 1823 Edge Green Lancs 1823) in 1850 in Liverpool, they had two children Elizabeth b 1852 Birkenhead,and John b 1855 Birkenhead. John LEECH is listed on 1861 Tranmere census living in 96 Alma Villas Bebington and 1871 Tranmere census living in 44 Derby road, on both census his occupation is given as Provisions dealer Also researching in Birkenhead MATTHEWS GORDON HORE and in Liverpool and Dublin GARVEY CARNEY FARRELL McMAHONE Caryl List Owner
