Hello list This is my first posting I am looking for any information on my Dad and his family the SPINKS. My Dad was Harold Frederick SPINKS born at 49 Nelson Rd. Rock Ferry February 1906. His father was William Edward SPINKS from Shropshire, his mother was Hannah SPINKS ( JENKINS ) from Chester. His father was a railway porter in 1898 when he married Hannah but went on to become Head Electrical engineer and ship builder. Hannah divorced William in abt. 1925?? I do not know what for. My dad Harold first married a Jessie DAVIES in 1930 they had 2 children Harold Frederick and Lesley SPINKS, they divorced in 1949 and he married my Mum in 1949 she was 22 years younger than him. Sorry that this is a little long but I thought you might need a little background. If anyone has anything no matter how small I would love to hear from you.
