I am posting my interests to this list in the hope that someone will recognise the names I am researching. I am searching for my father's birth certificate - Michael Martin PIERCE - born around 1906, possibly Seacombe, Wallasey or Birkenhead. His father's name was Richard and he also had a brother called Richard, a sister who's name I do not know and a niece called Patricia. I am also interested to find out if anyone is researching the name JOY. I am particulary interested in a Daniel and Hannah Joy who lived at 72 Kelvin Road, Seacombe in 1939,and Daniel and Patricia Joy and Margaret and Arthur McCulloch (Margaret McCulloch's maiden name may have been Joy and they were possibly married in 1925 in Birkenhead area) who lived at the same address in 1945. Were these people related to Michael Martin PIERCE. He gave 72 Kelvin Road as his discharge address when he left the army in 1945. I have tried everything I can to locate his birth certificate all to no avail. He died in 1963.
