Hi list My interests in Birkenhead are as follows. ROBERT ELLIS was born 1819 in Denbigh, Wales, and its possible he died after 1913. He married ANNE SKETCHLEY late COTTON, she was born about 1820 in Barkby Leicester, and died Between 1881 - 1891. In 1861 Robert lived at 132 Beckwith St and had 4 sons, CHARLES ELLIS age 13 (born about 1848 in Liverpool), GEORGE ELLIS age 6, ROBERT ELLIS age 4 , JAMES ELLIS age 1, in 1865, 132 Beckwith St was described as the Robert Ellis Lodging House. I have traced him through the 61, 71, 81, and 91 Birkenhead census but cannot find him in the 1851 census in Liverpool or Birkenhead. He also had a stepson (THOMAS COTTON born about 1845 in Birkenhead) living with him in 1861, in theory his marriage should be between 1845 and 1848 but I have not been able to find it. WILLIAM McMAHON married to ANNIE BAILEY, they had three children, ANNIE, FRANK and HENRY, their first child was born in 1908 and I am looking for their marriage. RICHARD SIMMONS born in about 1829, occupation Baker, living in Birkenhead in 1881.
