    1. [BIRKENHEAD] S(Z)ion Chapel, Oliver Street records
    2. Beverley Chambers
    3. I have Ann Jones born c1840 Holywell Flint marrying Thomas Lloyd born c1842 Bagillt. They married Sion Chapel Oliver Street Birkenhead 31 March 1866. Does anyone recognise these names in their tree or know how i can look at the Chapel records? Surfed the net and familysearch and cannot get anywhere on this. My brick wall is Ann Jones born Holywell. I know her father was Owen Jones a labourer, as per their marriage certificate. Hoping the Chapel records can give me her mothers name and anything else. Regards Beverley, Canada

    3. Thanks, I have what information I need about Albert and Emily. It's actually some of the other links I'm looking for. Albert HASTINGS had some other brothers. One of them was my great grandfather, Jacob HASTINGS, who died in 1906. I have wondered if any of the children born between 1901 and 1906 belonged to Jacob and his wife Ellen (ADAMS) HASTINGS. I suspect that one of the Margarets and one of the Alberts belong to Albert and Emily, but wondered where the others come in. Thanks for the help, but I'll have to order certificates, I guess. 3. Hi Dorothy, Thanks for the information. Yes, I've ordered a few certificates so understand the process, just wondered if there was another way available to find out. It's a snowy one further north as well. 3. Hi Marie, The only other resource is to order the certificates from the GRO or from the Wirral registration office. They would cost 7 Sterling pounds each. A film from the FHC would not have any reference to the BMD numbers. If you need any help with ordering certificates I can gladly help and could call you if you wish and if you give me your number. Best wishes this cold snowy day, Dorothy, Calgary, Alberta ps If you wish to give me your number you can send it direct to me at rottimum@platinum.ca

They lived at 1 Booth Street Tranmere during the 1901 census. James Hilton and Caroline married in 1891 in Birkenhead. Their children were all born in Rock Ferry. Any information/cousins out there?? One of my cousins' names was Fiona Ellis (b. 1949-1950?). I believe she had moved to Australia in the late 60's or early 70's, am not certain.
