Hello Anne' I have only just started to research my grandson's paternal line so that I cn do him a more complete family tree. One of the names that has come up for me is Florence May COX, m. George William GLOVER. their son Walter Henry GLOVER was b. 20 April 1912 at Coalville, Leicester. I believe her to be the daughter of John and Sarah COX living at Newton Solney, Derbyshire on the 1881 census. Newton is about 12 miles from Coalville between Swaddlingcote and Burton on Trent on the county border. Hi list, My name is Janet Drury, at the moment I'm at the proverbial brick wall. On the 1881 census my GtGrandfather Joseph Hayes was born in 1875 at Barnsley seemingly the eldest child. His parents were James HAYES and Ann MURPHY. James was born c. 1829 at Bolton Lancs. and Ann was born c. 1845 at Birkenhead. I can find neither birth nor marriage, for certain, for either of these. Heeeeelp please. If the 1851 census is indexed could someone please do a look up for me. I have the 1881 census on disk and am willing to do look ups. Thankyou, Janet ----- Original Message ----- From: <Cpwill5@aol.com> To: <BIRKENHEAD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 12, 2001 11:29 PM Subject: [BKHD] Admin: Roll call > > We have had a lot of new subscribers lately so it's time for another Roll call > > This list is very new, so come on everyone lets get things moving and people > posting!! > > Can everyone post their research interests for Birkenhead and Wirral even if > you have posted them already, there are many new subscribers since the > previous roll call > > If anyone has any Birkenhead or Wirral resources they would like to share > please post > > Does anyone have any old Birkenhead or Wirral newspapers? if so please post > any relevant information from them, Births Marriages and deaths, or > interesting snippets, all are welcome > > > Caryl Williams > List Owner > > > ============================== > Search over 1 Billion names at Ancestry.com! > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp > >
