Hi Alice, My grandmother was Elizabeth Farrell born to Sarah Farrell, formerly Hanson, and John Farrell, larourer, on March 29th, 1879. They lived at 27 Clarendon St., Birkenhead. When she married my grandfather, Ernest Hollingworth, she lived at 51 Vulcan St., Birkenhead. and members of the family were still living on Vulcan street in the 1960's. Her father was John Farrell, a slater. I was told the Farrells moved to Liverpool from Ireland but haven't pursued that yet. Is there a connection?
