Hello list, I am still looking for descendants of my grandfather's brother and sister (born Grimsby Lincs) who both married and moved to Birkenhead (or possibly Fleetwood). My elderly aunt tells me that they both married -Thomas Henry Little to Florence Green 1916 and Florence Little to George Hasthorpe 1911. I understand that Thomas Henry had ''some sons'' who may be almost the only ones to carry on the family name LITTLE. I have been looking at my grandfather's mother's family (McARDELL)and think that possibly some of her siblings were at that time in Birkenhead, which may account for why Thomas and Florence went there. Any contact with these names would be welcome. Brenda in Suffolk

Looking for information on any of the following. From the BMDcertificates I have they all appear to have been born in Birkenhead during the 18th or 19th century although there seems to have be some Irish blood coursing through their veins. BURKE CASSON CUNNINGHAM ELY JONES MCNALLY MERHNER / MEARNEY REDMOND Regards Cassandra
For the Birkenhead area I am mostly looking for Youds which is more of an early 1900's kind of thing as I have most of them from the late 1800's. There are some Scarretts and Popes and even a Priestman thrown in which was a shock, as that was my maiden name although my lot were from London originally (as if that wasn't shocking enough!!) I would also love it if anyone knows anything about a bakery that might have been at 434 Borough Road. There is just grass there now. Barbara
