    2. Peter Moir
    3. Hello List Members, This is my first posting. I wonder if anyone can help me. My great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth DAVIES, was born in Birkenhead in 1860 or 1861. Her parents were David DAVIES and Annie PARRY. Can anyone help with any further information regarding the parents. For those interested in DAVIES and who have the same line Mary Elizabeth DAVIES emigrated to Australia and married Andrew James MOIR, who emigrated from Scotland. I can supply further details to anyone interested. Kind regards Peter Australia

    3. Dear Gordon. Did I get back to you ? I am interested in your connections with my names. Would you be prepared to give me your family tree ? Or is that stretching too far. One never knows, I may find something ! We are all grasping at straws sometimes, and I am no exception. Not being in England does have its drawbacks and the City I live in does not have a very up to date library for English history.Wharton-Youds-Chatterton-Wilkinson-Smith are on my grandfathers side and Dwerryhouse and Peacock are on my grandmothers side. 1. Dawber / Gorst relisting
    2. John Williams
    3. Just relisting my interest in the Dawber family of Birkenhead. John Dawber (b. c1852 St Helens) and Jane Gorst (b.1851 Warrington) married 1874 at Warrington. They moved to the Birkenhead area, about 1896 apparently when the Lever Brothers factory moved there, with their several children. They were at Lower Bebington parish on the 1901 census. If anyone has any knowledge of the family, would they please contact me. John Williams (Australia)
