Hi George, disappointing, but thanks again for the help. Charles
Charles At HO107, Piece 2175, Folio 372, folio 39 is the following:- 6 Brunswick Avenue, Isaac Hunt, Head, 24, Waterman, Northwich (?) Cheshire Marshey (?) Hunt, Wife, 23, , Liverpool Lancashire, * George Hunt, Son, 5, Scholar, ditto, * Jane Hunt, Dau, 3, , Northwich Cheshire, John Hunt, Son, 11mths, , Birkenhead Cheshire, Margaret Hunt, Sister, 27 (or 21), Living on own means, Northwich Cheshire, The asterisk (*) indicates that there was a tick for these two in the column for "Blind, deaf or dumb". But the tick exists against half of all the entries on the page so may have been used for another purpose. Can't find the father, sorry. Just a brief expression of thanks to all who have sent me details of this census return - this is a field where one is truly grateful for the kindness of strangers. So! perhaps I can push my luck and ask if anybody with access to the 1851 Cheshire census records might look up Isaac Hunt, father of the above, aged approx. 45-55, possibly residing in Northwich. Dear Ken, many thanks for this lovely, useful information about my g g grandfather. It is strange about father Isaac not being there - perhaps in Liverpool. with thanks again, charles

Ian Hatton and my FOGGs are living very close in later years, we are trying to make a connection but as yet I have not found my Thomas FOGG born about 1825/31 Liverpool, Lancashire. My Gt. Hi Gordon How great. A possible connection! This is probably my lot too...the Ann (from Hannah) in the census makes sense of my records as do the dates. If so, my gggrandfather is the 8 year old James in the 1851 census (who later married Ann O'Brien and their son John is my grandfather). Do you have any further information on Joseph and Hannah?...or their earlier family? Hi Linda Amazing that we have so many names in common and maybe no connections!...disappointing I agree. You did not say if the PYE names below are related. My great aunt Catherine (b 1878 in Liverpool) married William "Billie" Pye (? DOB and probobaly also in Liverpool)...they had children John, Katherine, Elisabeth and Ada. But it seems unlikely that Billie is the William on your list. My O'Briens also came from Ireland...unlikely we have a connection though. Mine are John O'Brien (b 1821 in Ireland) who married Elizabeth ? (b c1821). They had Ann in 1871 (my ggrandmother) then Charles, Elisabeth, Ellen, James, John. Not sure if they had an older child Margaret. Ring any bells? Many thanks, Marilyn >>> [email protected] 20/10/2004 8:52:32 a.m. >>> Hi Marilyn Sorry but I don't think there is a connection here despite the names.
