I'm still looking for info on Polly and Johnson's parents. Johnson's parents married at the home of John WHEELER in Jackson County, Tennessee. The ANDERSON and McCORMACK families left later records (circa 1820s) that they were witnesses to the marriage. All three of these families (Wheeler, Anderson, McCormack) go back to Bedford County, Virginia where they lived as near neighbors to the BIRDWELL family. This is the same Birdwell clan who went to what is now Sullivan County, Tennessee. My branch was in Jackson County, Tennessee before 1820.
