Looking for anyone who might be able to help with the family of a Robert Birdwell. He was listed in Benton Co TN on the 1840 and 1850 census. He died before the 1860 census. He had known children, Martha, Margaret, George, William and John. There may have been two other daughters Elizabeth and Susannah. Living in Roberts house in 1850 was a 5 year old boy Newton Brown( full name was Isaac Newton Brown) he was the son of Elizabeth. Elizabeth in Aug 1851 married John R. Thomas in Benton Co TN. In the next county over lived a Isaac Bridwell as well. Are these two families related? Elizabeth, George and Margaret moved to Phelps Co MO before 1870. It appears they leave just after the 1860 census. George has a daugher, Sarah born in AR abt 1863. I lose William and John after the 1860 census. They also may have moved to AR or MO. Any help with this group of Birdwell's would be most welcome. Kathy, Killeen, TX
