Gail, Mary Gaines is shown in records of some Gaines researchers as marrying Ben H. Birdwell born 18 May 1846, died 2 May 1880. I understand that Benjamin III (1856-1927) married Axie Alice Austin. I assume Benjamin III is a cousin to some degree of the Benjamin H.
