    3. Folks are asking me why I have the conclusions I have and I'm being asked for sources etc ... I'll give you what I have as long as my fingers hold out ... In the 1880 census, there are two Elizabeth Birdwells. (1) is the "Mother" (age 68) of John J. Birdwell and is living with John J. Birdwell ... She was born in Tenn - her parents in N.Carolina - N.Carolina Some Chaffin authors have placed this Elizabeth with the Abner Chaffin family (he was born 1765 in VA) - I have no better choice at this point .. (2) is a "Sister" (age 68) of George W. Bidwell and is living with George W. Birdwell She was born in Tenn - her parents in Tenn-Tenn The 1830 census for Margaret (McKaughan) Birdwell has a male and a female the ages of George W. and Elizabeth. However, where was this Elizabeth in 1850 - 60 - 70 ??? In Montgomery County in 1850, there is a 32 year old Elizabeth Birdwellliving with a Breeden family - Montgomery County is where Margaret ends up before she dies ... This would further support my conclusion that George W. was Margaret's son and a brother to Joseph (born 1803) and not Joseph (born 1809). My point of this post is to demonstrate the two Elizabeths are just that - Two Elizabeths ... Jerry
