Hello folks: Just thought Id send you all a silly note. Many of you will wonder why, although I know at least a few of you will welcome news of a change in the weather ... This past summer was a hot one. Most of us had our fill of the heat wave a month, or two, before it finally broke. For those of you who can relate to those feelings (think: Texas where it was even Hotter) you may be pleased to hear that here in Billings we now have about four inches of snow on the ground and much more in the mountains. Around here everyone was tired of the prolonged extreme temperatures and lack of moisture (think: forest fires). I dont think anybody was wishing for an early snow storm in September. Yet this wet, heavy snow seems to finally put a cap on the rather brutal summer of 2000. Here is wishing for a pleasant and wet autumn & winter followed by a more normal summer next year.
