    3. Hey Gang, I just got a letter from Karen Matthews, pointing out the fact that I have wrong information in Joel's file. Below is my gen. report on him. Please help me correct it! Please post all answers to the list, so that we can all correct our records. BTW, there are notes, pictures and documents posted for Zachariah 1801-1880 Birdwell on Birdtracks. If any of you want any of the scanned material, please contact me and I will be glad to email it to you. And I want to thank Aggie Birdwell for some of the information that she so kindly gave to the man who owns the property that Stewart (Old Birdwell) Cemetery is on. 3. Hey Gang, I just got a picture of Dan Birdwell from Ray Isbell (thanks so much, Ray). If anyone wants me to send it to them, just let me know, and I'll be glad to send it to you. And to answer your question, Ray, yes, I will put it on Birdtracks very soon. I just have to connect family lines first. Also, I have all the documents that Bill Lindsey sent to me on Birdtracks. There are 58 of them. When you go to the James G. Birdwell page, just go to the documents link. Once there, you will see 58 little boxes, just click on the box you want to look at. Yes, I still need Nikki to thumbnail them for me, but you can still view them. 2. Ray Isbell
    3. Does anyone know if Dan Birdwell, who played for the Oakland Raiders in 1964, is descended from "Old George" Birdwell? From his photo, he looks so much like so many descendants of John Birdwell & Mary Allen that he must be some relation. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

I think all should be aware that the first bid price on Mr Yates group sheets that he sells on e-bay is the same price that you can order them for direct from his publishing firm. So please be aware that if you bid more than what the first bid is on these items you are paying more than what they would cost ordering direct. Hoping to save you a little money! 3. Here are 2 places to check names: http://www.familytreemaker.com/ifftop.html This is a surname search place. It will tell you what volumes in family tree the name is on Then go to: http://genweb.net/~gen-cds/cdwftlist.html that place will give you the name and e-mail addresses of volunteers that will look up your surname on the world family tree volume. It goes from Vol. 1 thru 42, then 46 and then volume 802 another good place is: http://genweb.net/~gen-cds/cdlist.html this is another free look up--gives the CD # (not wft), the title of what they look up on that CD, the places and the names of the volunteers and their e-mail addresses. The wft list is 17 pages long and the gen cd list is 30 pages long, so you really have a lot of coverage. Goodluck Velma

    3. Hey Gang, I have finally learned how to put entries on our website, since I don't have Nikki's help anymore (she's been promoted and transfered, and will be unavailable for my use for a couple of more months). So, I have started entering info again, please go take a look, if there are any broken links, please let me know. I'm working as fast as I can to make up for lost time. I have also opened another site on myfamily.com. This is a secured site, open by invitation only, but where we can all get together, have chats, add info and pics, etc. If you would like to join (the fee is FREE), please contact me and I will add your name to the invitation list. This is also a great place to put your gedcom, in case of computer crash, where only YOU can access it. Hello List Members, Texarkana USA Genealogical Society has in its possession more than 9,000 Original Marriage Certificates for marriages in Bowie County TX and 2,000 Originals for Miller County AR. The majority of them are from about 1889 to 1935. A few older, some more recent. The Miller County are indexed by both Groom and Bride. The Bowie County are indexed by Groom only. Currently, we are working to index these by Bride as well but it will take a while longer. They can be obtained for the low cost of $2.50, a SASE and a short lineage chart showing your relationship to the individuals. If you had relatives who married in either of these counties in this time frame, I will be happy to check for availabilty of their certificates. If we have them, you will be notifed on where to send your information so that it will reach the proper person. Will also notify you if they are not available. We would love to get all of these Certificates placed in the hands of family members as they would be a great addition to your family records. Please feel free to forward this mail to any list to which you subscribe.
