Friday...July 21 Check in time at the Inn 3:00 There will be Birdwells in the lobby to greet you. This is also the first day of the Folk Festival in Natchitoches.** Saturday...July 22 8:00 am We have a meeting room at the Inn where we will start setting up our displays at 8:00 am 9:00 am We start our welcome and get aquainted time until l0:30 am The Folk Festival gates open at l0:00 am For those not attending the Folk Festival, our meeting room is open until after l0:00 pm for those who want to view our displays, play dominoes, cards, music or just visit. Ihave traced my Uncle by marriages BIRDWELL line to Clinton Co.,Ky. They are on the 1860 census. From the death certificates of John Birdwell, I find that he is the son of son of Joshua Birdwell and Sally Hare, and wife Myra, is the daughter of William Brummett and Minerva Thornhill. From the 1860 census I have run into a brick wall, but the posting about Old George sounds promising. John BIRDWELL and family,plus brother and sisters settled in Creelsboro,Russell Co by 1910. Any help on this is appreciated. Sharon

So does anybody know what civil service George Birdwell performed during the Revolution? Perhaps supplied arms or supplies to soldiers? Have any female descendants sought DAR membership on this line?
