I am searching for any information on my 3rg great-grandfather, Samuel Byrd, who was born in NC or SC in ca. 1804. He married Polly Ann Ray and had quite a few children including my 2nd great-grandmother, Josephine Byrd. Samuel eventually ends up in Hardin County, Tennessee, where he can be found in 1860 and 1870. He probably dies before 1880, but that has not been confirmed yet.
