In the Elizabeth, NJ library, found a book titled "The History of Elizabeth". It has a reprint of a Tory newspaper article which mentions how the rebel, Jeremiah Bird, was taken prisoner along with twenty others by British troops from Staten Island during a raid on Rahway. If anyone is interested, let me know. Also found tombstone inscriptions for two of Joseph (Jeremiah's brother) and Susannah's children who died young.
