I think I may have found a lead!! I'm looking for any info to help me tie the following: Jonas Byrd, b. 1795(?), m. Rebecca Turner. Jonas father was William Byrd, b. about 1749, m. Caroline Dalton. That's where we met with a dead-end until now. We believe William's father to be William Byrd III, m. 1) Elizabeth Hill Carter, and 2) Mary Willing. However, we don't know which of these women would be William's mother. If anyone has info on William Byrd III, Elizabeth Hill Carter, or Mary Willing, which would help us locate "our" William as one of their children, please let me know.
