Trying to trace some of my lost relatives and thought you might be able to help. My gg-grandfather, JOSHUA BYRD, was born, Feb. 1849 in Lenoir County, NC. died 3 May, 1919 in Wake County, NC. He was the son of SHERWOOD BYRD(ca. 1805) and PENELOPE "Penny" TILLMAN, ca. 1812. Married ca 1867 to MARGARET "Maggie" PHILLIPS, dau. of COUNCIL PHILLIPS ca. 1811, and NANCY unknown, ca. 1812. They produced THOMAS M., LOUISA "Luddie", NANCY GABRILLA "Nannie", MARY, and MAUDE BYRD. I am looking for any information on him, his wife, and/or the parents of either/both.
