In the "History fo BYRD/BIRD Family 1652-1953" by Lucille C. BYRD in 1953 (found in Old Edgefield District Archives Library in Edgefield, SC, it has information about the daughters of Daniel Bird I, who died in 1806, the son of William Byrd III. It says that one of Daniel's daughters married Sanders Rearden, one married Jadock MAGRUDER, and one married Benjamin Tradwell. There is also MAGRUDER information in the AGS Library in Augusta, GA, that says that Zadock MAGRUDER married 1st a Miss BIRD, 2nd a Miss Talbot (could be spelled differently) and 3rd Tracey Reardon. Zadock and Miss BIRD had one daughter, Eliza B. MAGRUDER born 1803 - died 1872 in Columbia Co., GA, who married in Richmond Co., GA 5 Oct 1823 to Peter KNOX born 1791 near Edinburgh, Scotland and died 1852 in Columbia Co., GA. I am looking for information on any of these families and would really, really like to learn the name of the Miss BIRD that Zadock MAGRUDER married as I am sure that Zadock and Jadock are the same person and that there was either a typo or the letter Z was written in a way that it looked like a J.
