    1. RE: Susannah Bird/Byrd
    2. Slade Anderson
    3. Susannah was also a popular name with the Alamance/Caswell County, NC Birds who migrated from Delaware. I have four Susannah's in my data, the first being born in Newcastle, De about 1700. My ancestor Susannah who married Quinton Anderson in Caswell County was born in 1784. It looks as though this family, as did many families back then recycled names. Individuals would name their children after brothers/sisters, aunts/uncles ect... Common names associated with these Birds since 1700 were : Susannah Empson James Jehu ( possibly a nickname for John ) Richard Thomas William Mary Elizabeth Thanks, Slade Anderson http://www.slade-anderson.com > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [SMTP:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, March 26, 1998 8:52 AM > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: Susannah Bird/Byrd > > Pat wrote: > > >I have just received the info that my Joseph GEORGE married Susannah > BIRD/BYRD > >on 25 Aug 1795 in Sumner Co, TN. > > > >This was sent to me by someone who (a) received it from someone else > who had > >long researched this family but is now deceased (b) could not find > the actual > >info in Sumner Co records. > > > >Anyone out there with a Susanna/h or Mary/Polly Bird/Byrd - and she > probably > >came from North Carolina - who might fit?
