I have traced my Bird family back to Abner, b. 22 Sept. 1770 in Green Briar Co., VA. His wife was Jane Jamison and the married 7 March 1791 in Franklin Co., IN. Abner died in 1797 in Franklin Co. Jane was b. 9 May 1770 in Albemarle Co., VA and died abt. 1814 in Madison Co., KY. The kids that I know of included: John, b., 11 Jan. 1790 in Amherst Co., married Permelia Guthrie and he died abt. 3 Aug. 1845 in Madison Co.,KY. Jane; William; and Thomas Jefferson, b. 1794. This is about all I know of this family back to this time period. I am concerned that two Abner's in a row supposedly married Jane Jamison/Jameson's. I think someone has gotten the two generations confused. Anyway, I would like to make contact with anyone working on this same general family area and will exchange info that I have.
