Maria Horsmanden Meowtalker (is this your real name HEHE) Concerning the time periods of these birds let me diagram slightly how they go. andrew bird that married Magdelena Jonasson born about 1702 Rariton Somerset Co. NJ His father is Andrew Byrd born 1673 Oyster Bay Nausau Co. Long Island New york married Catherine Covert abyt 1701 at hell gate Neck, Newtown, Queens co. Long island New york and his father is Andrew Bird who was born 1651 and was of Nausau Co. Long Island New york. He married Hannah dimend abt 1670 in Suffolk Co. Long island New York, and died after 1694 of newtown Queens Co. NY. and he is the son of John Bird born about 1628-31 of Nausau Co. long lsland New york, and died aft 1676 of Huntington Nausau Co. New york I do not at this time have a wife for him nor is his parentage proven, however i am of the appinion with no evidence other than place and time that he is the son of Thomas Bird born about 1593 of London England and married Mary Belden died 10 aug 1662 in farmington hartford co. Conn. There are some things which should be understood concerning Long island and they are 1. most of the settlers there came from 4 or 5 places in conn or RI and Hartford Conn is one of them. 2. the english settlers early came from Mass and RI and then down to Conn and then to Island- the Frence- Dutch- swedes came from PHILLY and New amsterdam up, as this bird family name is english i reason that they came down from Conn and mass.
