Just traced my Bird line back to Andrew Bird, b abt 1650, lived in Newtown, Queens Co, NY; possibly desc. of Thomas Bird b 1593 London,of Farmington, CT. I was checking Gedcoms on the web for other descendants of Andrew and Thomas and , boy, is there a lot of discrepancies out there! One problem: is the Andrew Bird that married Magdelene Jonnasson (Jones) and lived in Shanendoah Co, VA a descendant of my Thomas, or is he a descendant of the other Thomas Bird, born 1653 in England and emigrated to the south? I have seen him listed in both lines. Also, if any of you are related to my line, I'd love to have your family for my files. I'd like to get all the descendants of Thomas Bird together.
