I am searching for my g grandfather and his family. He was John Wesley Byrd. He was born Oct. 12, 1846, probably Georgia. He moved to Alabama, and on to Bryan's Mill, Cass County, Texas, by 1870's. He married Ruth Jane Paulett around 1875, in Georgia or Alabama. She was from Merriweather County, Georgia.( daughter of Samuel Paulett). John was a teamster (drove a freight wagon, was a Methodist, and was buried in Cass County, Texas. He died Dec. 18, 1914.
