Hellooo out there. I am a new member of the list. I am descended from Amos Byrd, b. ca. 1738 in Va. Died in Cape Girardeau Co.,Mo. in 1818. Married Sarah Ruddle. I descend thru his daughter Sallie(Sarah) & her husband George Hays. I am trying to determine from where in Va. Amos originated. I have a cc of a 1783 Greene Co., Tn. Tax List that states "The first pioneers here were the Gillespies, Crocketts, etc. and Amos Byrd from Westover Manor in Va.If this be the case and if I understand correctly. this would make Amos the son of Andrew & Magdalene Byrd. I seek any info to verify this information. Thank you Jack
