I found informtion on Robert Bird died 9/29/1921 married Catherine on the Broyles Home page. I sent an e-mail asking how the Bird's are related to the Broyles but did not receive a reply. Can someone explain this? I have Robert Bird born about 1745 Va. married Catherine born 1758 Maryland. I come down though their daughter Catherine who married John Swift. In the 1850 Census Catherine Bird Swift lists her birthplace as NC, in the 1860 she lists her birthplace as TN. It was posted on this list that her brother Thomas was born in Burke Co. NC. in 1783. Was Burke Co a part of NC in 1783 and then became part of TN later on? Any help on this family would be appreciated. Betsy Arndt [email protected]
