I'm still seeking some clue to the ancestry of the Susan Byrd, b. ca. 1790-95, who married Joseph Honeycutt of the Buncombe/Yancey County area. (My descent continues via Stephen Morgan Honeycutt, b. 1826, Yancey County.) I have encountered one family legend that says Susan(nah)'s parents were Sam and Polly (probably nickname for Mary) Byrd. Any help would be appreciated. Tom
