This has to be Augustus Allen Bird b. 1 Apr 1802 in Thetford, Orange, VT, son of Zenas Bird and Tabitha Burgoyne. Augustus m. Charity LeClair 1824 in Westmoreland, Onieda, NY and Augustus d. 25 Feb 1870 in Green Bay, Brown WI. They had 7 issue. Augustus would be my 3rd great granduncle. Augustus was an early settler of Dane County, WI and I guess important in the formation of Madison, WI. There is some disinformation as to his parantage in a Beers write up. Augustus' life was partially reconstructed in a book called "To the Last Bird, the Story of a Wisconsin Pioneer Family" written in the mid 1980's of which I have a copy.
