Is this John BYRD (bca 1749/Louisa Co VA), s/o John BYRD (c1725/ Spotsylvania County VA) and Sarah ____ (c1729/Spotsylvania Co VA- 1787+/Grayson County VA)? Or is this John BYRD (c1725/Spotsylvania Co VA), s/o Samuel BYRD (<1709- 1737+). Either man cited here would be of age to serve as Clerk of Court for Fincastle in 1772, with leanings (age consideration) to the latter John BYRD.
