Sylvester Bird SPENCER - Sylvester Bird, 67, of Spencer died Nov. 14, 1998, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood, and was a member of United Steel Workers Local 5668, Ravenswood. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving: wife, Marie Bird; daughter, Jacque Nutter of Columbus, Ohio; son, John D. Neibert of Hillsboro, Ohio; stepdaughters, Sandra Santee of Reedy, Alberta Westfall of Spencer; stepson, James Caldwell of Marietta, Ohio; sisters, Madeline Taylor of Clendenin, Charlotte Travis of Morgantown, Reta Kight of Glenville, Zelma Meadows of Ravenswood; brothers, Lester of Point Pleasant, Paul of Summersville, Ed of Niles, Ohio, Kenneth of Jodie, Larry of Dixie, Ray of Bomont; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Herb Vance officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Memorial Cemetery, Spencer.
