>I might be interested in buying the Byrd book. I have been researching >my Bird/Byrds for 30 years. But, if the author will not reprint, what >can we do? Is it in a library anywhere? Who has a copy? >What is the title? Launa, You perhaps should have addressed this to someone other than me, as I cannot answer those questions. I do know that the author, Lloyd Bailey, lives in Yancey Co., N.C., and has concentrated on history of that area. His address is Lloyd Bailey, 4122 Deepwood Circle, Durham, NC 27707. He has done a number of books, I understand; but I have seen only the Heritege of the Toe River Valley. It includes some Byrd material, none of which was of any help to me. I don't know if his Byrd book includes any Byrd lines prior to the Revolution...outside N.C., etc. If you have any Byrds in the Yancey, Burke, Buncombe County area of North Carolina, I'll be happy to check the index of this book for specific names. But I repeat, to all who may be reading this, the book I have does not cover family lines throughout the rest of the country. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who might have reference to a Susan Byrd, b. ca. 1790, who m. Jacob Honeycutt in the general area I've referred to. Regards, Tom
