Pat, You didn't say when or where these people lived. Makes quite a difference. Are any of them in North Carolina during the early or mid-1800s? I don't have an actual line at present...only a Susan Byrd who m. a Joseph Honeycutt back around 1810 or so. I've run across miscellaneous Byrds, however, in searching the Buncombe, Burke, Yancey Co. area of N.C. The "Charley" seems a common given name in the family. There are some early Byrds included in "The Heritage of the Toe River Valley", dealing with early Yancey County.
