Hello, Can anyone help me identify the parents of Elizabeth BIRD (nicknamed Betsy or Clarkey), b. ca. 1806 in KY, who married in Clark Co., KY, Benjamin Franklin Tuttle, b. 1798 in VA (son of John Tuttle who moved from VA to KY). Census records indicate that after residing a short time in Clay Co., KY, Elizabeth and Benjamin lived most of their married lives in Estill Co., KY, where at least seven of their ten children were born. Family legend says she served as a local midwife and was always ready to help those in need; census records identify Benjamin as a schoolteacher. Recently I received information from a family researcher that Elizabeth's father may have been Richard Bird/Byrd, who married Cassandra ____, but no evidence was furnished.
