Since it's recommended we re-post a query because new people are constantly joining us, I'm asking the Bird/Byrd group for any help available. My John Bird/Byrd George was bc1812 in probably Sumner Co, TN. He had siblings Walter Hardin, Frances, and Jesse J. We believe their father to be Joseph George, bc1769 in NC (probably Chatham Co), who married Susanna (?Hardin). As Walter Hardin perhaps received his name from his mother Susanna, we think it it likely that John Bird/Byrd received his name also from a family surname. Can anyone link a Bird/Byrd to a George surname in NC - Chatham, Orange Co? Any help appreciated. Pat
