I don't know who these Bird's are, but thought this might be of interest to someone out there. Whereas David Pruden among several other bidders being the highest and last bidder became the purchases of the above named Negro for the sum of sixty three dollars and thirty five cents, which was the highest price could be obtained, I do hearby sell and deliver to said bidder the above named Negro by virtue of this execution grant a title as far as my office as a constable do permit. Whereon I do set my hand and offer this 17 January 1818. signed and delivered in presence of Witness Richard P. Freeman E.
