    3. Hi Glenda, In response to your Thomas Bird b.1660. He came to America from England around 1700? I have two different thoughts on this. His father and grandfa. were Thomas' also. On one account he is my 6GGUnc and on another he is my 6GGF thru John Bird. I am trying to confirm one way or the other. There are several Birds from Newcastle Co De, some went south to NC.My line went to Va. There is probably a connection with your other Thomas with this same lineage. You can contact John Fox at Bebenjohn@aol.com who heads up a Bird list for the Birds of De and also take a look at; www.Slade-Anderson.com his family tree has all the Birds from De. For information about my connection with the Bird Family: Francis Moylan Fitts/Bird GGM, dau of Henry Dearborn Bird, son of Capt. John Bird and Eliazabeth Von luevenigh, son of John Bird and Sarah Tussey/Tossey, son of John Bird, brother or son of your Thomas Bird. If I can help you again, either the Bird list or my newfie@ipa.net Doug Fitts in Mt Ida Ar -----Original Message----- From: Glenda Todd <gtodd@edge.net> To: BIRD-L@rootsweb.com <BIRD-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, March 10, 1999 10:41 AM Subject: [BIRD-L] Bird >Does anyone know who this Thomas Bird was? > >Thomas Bird (carpenter), born 1660, will probated 10 Dec 1726 in >Christiana Hundred, New Castle Co., Del., married Sarah Empson, b. 1687, >d. 1700, children: Robert, John, Joseph, Franciss, Rebecca, Richard, >James, Empson, Mary, Elizabeth, Susannah and an unborn child. > >There was also a Thomas Bird, Sr. (yeoman) whose will was probated >2 June 1778 in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle Co., Del., wife Rachel, >children: John, Thomas, William, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Rachel, Sarah. > >Would also like to know about the Thomas Bird who was a "servant man of >Joseph Robinson 27 Nov 1751" in Agusta Co., VA. > >Glenda > >______________________________
