    3. Hi..found this on ebay..please read below for their description, once again I have nothing to do with seller, just want it to have a home..where it belongs.. Terri go to www.ebay.com do a search for family bible..sale ends in 4 days.. This is the family Bible of a family out of Dubuque, Iowa. The family name is Duren, and this leather-bound bible, weighing in at around 5 pounds, was presented to Charles McKean and Gertrude Eliza Duren at the Congregational Church in Dubuque. At the end of the Old Testament, there is a section for 'Family Record', and handwritten is the family record of the Durens. Here is a listing of Births, Deaths, and Marriages. The last Birth entry is for December 23, 1872, belonging to James Craig Bryd (Byrd?). The last entry for marriages is For James Craig Bryd and Fanny Duren on July 2, 1941. There is a WONDERFUL c.1940's photo showing a family gathering, and a Lovely Victorian notecard. These are included. The bible itself is over 1300 pages, as the type is READABLE! and the pages are thicker than what we have available to us now. This was DESIGNED to be passed down from generation to generation. It is in Fantastic shape for being over 130 years old! In fact there is quite a bit of the gold on the pages, and on the embossing on the binding. What a splendid Dare to do, what you Dare to Dream.!!
