The Register of Wills of Prince George's County, MD has estate files for Benjamin Bird (d. 1806, Will TT#1:194), John Bird (Will TT#1:455) and James T. (d. 1876, Will WAJ Jr#1:464). These can be ordered from Maryland State Archives, 350 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis, MD 21201, in case anyone is researching these Birds. There was also a Francis Bird who married Jane Littleton and they were in PG Co. in the early 1700's with children Francis, Thomas and John. I think they were in King George's Parish, which means the general Piscataway area of the County. An 1878 map of Surratts Election Districe (#9) in PG Co. shows a James and Henry Bird risiding a short distance west of Surrattsville and would have been part of King George's Parish during the colonial period.
