    1. Old Byrds...Morgans?
    2. Tom Camfield
    3. I have a Susan Byrd of the Buncombe/Yancey, N.C., area that married Jacob Honeycutt ca. 1810. They had a son, Stephen Morgan Honeycutt. In my search for ancestors, I have found no Morgans whatsoever in the Honeycutt line...so I look to the traditional maternal influence on that middle name of Stephen Morgan. Finding nothing, I conjecture that it may have been in maternal ancestry of Susan Byrd (Stephen's mother). Way out in left field I have the Owenbys, where an allied ancestral line of Morgan has at least two Stephens. I have a nearby connection of Honeycutts to Owenbys. I am totally in the dark with regard to Susan's ancestry...so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your attention, Tom Tom Camfield - [email protected] 538 Calhoun Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 Some surnames: Westall, Blankinship, Stephenson, Cunningham, Moulton, Howe, Burkleo, Carpenter, Davis, Stroud, Mashburn, Brittain, Honeycutt, Lewis, Owenby, Porter, Sims, Coffey, Stout, Byrd, Gookin, Warren, Penland, Brevard, Ashworth, McKnitt, Witty...
