Hi one and all: Just joined this site. Am research Robert BIRD, Sr b. 22 May 1776 in Rockingham Co., VA and d. 13 Oct 1855 in Stafford, OR. He married Rachel ALLEN on 22 Jan 1799 in Warren Co., KY. Rachel was born 26 Feb 1780 in Warren Co., KY. and d. 16 Oct 1859 in Stafford. They had 11 children; all born in or near Glasgow, Barren Co., KY. The family was removed to Marshall Co., IL between 1820 and 1830. In Mar 1847, Robert and Rachel plus 3 sons, John, William and Elijah, join the Jordan Sawyer Wagon Train to Oregon.
